The creative team for Figment tied up loose ends with an inspiring final issue. By the end of this story, the audience is encouraged to explore, create and believe in their dreams. It saddens me that we have to say goodbye to these characters. How do you take a story of epic proportions and tell it in 5 issues? You leave a lot of the story untold. The Figment series gave us a small taste of the adventurous feast by staying true to its mission of revealing the origin of this special piece of Disney history. In five issues there was enough success, failure and redemption to make me want more.
What is next for Marvel, Disney Kingdoms? Editor Bill Rosemann wants us to, “stay tuned for news on our next great Disney Kingdoms adventure!” While we wait, my imagination is running wild! Would you read a Classic Mickey Mouse Club title where the Mousketeers are swept away on magical adventures with Skip and Marty or other classic Mouskemovies? I am imagining a time traveling Annette story as youread this.
Editors note: Disney Kingdoms just announced Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be the next Disney attraction to get it’s own comic book story. Be on the look out for this five issue series coming Spring 2015. Check out the review of Figment #3 & #4 posted September 15th….Phranq totally called it!
